I write romantic fantasy under the pen name Shen Zhiyi, with a soft spot for dangerous heroes who are hopelessly devoted, heroines who refuse to follow the script, and love stories that earn their happy endings. My stories are inspired by the emotional intensity, court intrigue, and sweeping romance I love in Chinese dramas—especially when the supposed villain turns out to be far more complicated than everyone believes.
Outside of writing, I hold a B.A. in Criminology and Justice Studies and am currently pursuing a master’s degree. When I’m not writing, I’m usually watching Chinese dramas, gaming, or imagining what would happen if a heroine simply refused to cooperate with the plot.
